Cancer, palliative & end of life

Cancer and end of life support in Norfolk and online

Gentle, compassionate support for people living with cancer or a life-limiting illness, for those receiving palliative care, and for the families and carers beside them — at home across Norfolk, or online anywhere in the UK.

Cancer and end of life support in Norfolk and online

Support during a cancer diagnosis and treatment

A cancer diagnosis can turn the ordinary shape of life inside out. Scan anxiety, treatment fatigue, fear of recurrence, changes to your body, and the pressure to stay positive for everyone else are all common, and none of them mean you are coping badly.

As an accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, I use CBT and compassion focused therapy to help you work with anxiety, low mood, intrusive thoughts and sleep, while making space for the grief and uncertainty that comes with serious illness. Sessions can be held online across the UK or in person in Norfolk.

Palliative and end of life care at home in Norfolk

When someone is receiving palliative care or approaching the end of life, comfort, dignity and calm matter more than anything. I offer domiciliary (home visit) Reiki and compassion sessions across Norfolk so that support can come to you, in your own bed or chair, at your own pace.

Sessions are quiet and unhurried. There is no need to talk, undress or move. Reiki is offered alongside — never instead of — your medical, hospice and palliative care team, and is often valued for relaxation, comfort and a settled sense of presence in the room.

Support for families, carers and bereavement

Caring for someone with cancer or a terminal illness is its own kind of labour. Carers often carry anticipatory grief, exhaustion, guilt and a fierce inner critic that says they should be doing more.

Compassion focused work helps you meet that with kindness rather than more pressure. After a death, I offer bereavement and grief support — whether the loss is recent or long held — online or at home in Norfolk.

Cancer and end of life support: common questions

Do you offer support for people living with cancer in Norfolk?
Yes. I work with people at any stage — diagnosis, treatment, remission, recurrence or palliative care — offering compassion focused therapy, CBT and Reiki. Sessions are held at home across Norfolk or online across the UK.
Can you visit me at home or in a hospice?
Yes. Domiciliary (home visit) appointments are available across Norfolk, including Norwich, Fakenham, Dereham, Aylsham, North Walsham, Cromer and the North Norfolk coast. Visits to care homes and hospice settings can be arranged by agreement.
Is this instead of medical or palliative care?
No. Everything I offer sits alongside, never instead of, your medical, oncology, hospice or palliative care team. Reiki is a complementary therapy for comfort and calm, and therapy supports emotional wellbeing.
Can you support family members and carers?
Yes. Carers, partners, adult children and bereaved family members are welcome. Anticipatory grief, exhaustion, guilt and self-blame are common, and compassion focused work can help you carry them more kindly.
What if I am too unwell for a long session?
Sessions are shaped around your energy. Shorter appointments, sessions at the bedside, or purely restful Reiki with very little talking are all possible. Nothing is required of you but rest.
Do you offer bereavement and grief support in Norfolk?
Yes. I offer compassion focused therapy and Reiki for grief and bereavement, whether the loss is recent or long held, online or at home in Norfolk.
How much does it cost and how do I book?
Current session types and prices are listed on the booking page. If you are unsure what would help, send a message and we can talk it through with no obligation.
